You are not alone!
A Call for Urgent Action
If requested, Torture Norway reports every incident of torture reported to us, to the United Nations. Children are prioritised, as well as persons in confinement.
We contact resources as international anti-torture organizations, and find relevant information for you and your family.
Torture Norway works with spreading awareness on targeted attacks on human dignity by Norwegian authorities, as well as recognizing the humiliation and extreme suffering resulting from the attacks.
Our demands
Torture Norway urges Norwegian authorities to implement the Torture Convention, as a state party to the convention, which means that all forms of inhuman treatment is stopped, the perpetrators prosecuted, and victims offered redress. It is also required that public employees will be trained in the illegality and seriousness of breaching the Convention against Torture.
We emphasize that families who have experienced being separated unjustly, must be reunited, and get funds to find each other, in cases where enforced disappearance / forced adoption has taken place, or family members abducted by government employees, have in another way lost contact with their loved ones.
