Although many victims of degrading treatment by Norwegian authorities, face severe threats, as forced adoption of their children, if they attemt to publish their stories of ill-treatment, many people have had the courage to use different media channels to publish their stories.
There have been incidences, where people trying to help the victioms, or involve themselves in trying to fight for better protection of human rights in the country, have been subjected to inhumane treatment themselves, as arbitrary arrest in isolation cells, forceful removal of their children, and forced psychiatric hospitalization and medication. Many have lost their jobs due to their political stand point, and even denied state services.
Net pages about the crimes are frequently subjected to hacker attacks, and taken down.
